We are excited to announce that our Fall Session will begin on October 15! We are currently accepting registration for adult classes (weekday evenings) and Saturday school for children. All courses follow the Oyo standard of Yoruba instruction with a full standard language curriculum. Instruction is more fun with the inclusion of film, music and social events for all levels. All of our instructors are professional instructors and native Yoruba speakers who are passionate about imparting the Yoruba language and culture. Our team creates a safe space for language learners in and out of the classroom. Adults can choose from evening classes (Mon/Wed OR Tue/Thurs) or Saturday. Evening classes run from 6:30pm to 8pm. We’re doing something a little different this year. The Summer Intensive will be a combination of the Spring Clinic–two Saturday clinics for 8 hours each–and a weekly class from June 16 to August 28. The clinics will take place on June 7 and June 14. I began my Yoruba language classes in February 2014, and will continue through with the project over the course of the next few months.  Part of the project will consist of a trip by project participants to Nigeria to engage in language and art related projects.
